Top Ten Draft Prospects the Bears Should Target

10. WR Jordy Nelson
Third round

Owes 40% of his first pro contract to Wes Welker.

9. S DaJuan Morgan
Second-third round

Yeah, so maybe trading Chris Harris wasn’t such a good idea. And Achuleta…I don’t have the energy or the heart to even begin.

8. RB Ray Rice
Second-third round

My buddy saw Rice at a strip club in Toronto the night before he would play his final college game. So there's that.

7. T Jeff Otah
First round

Played under Dave Wannstedt so you know he’s adequately prepared for the pros.

6. WR Mario Manningham
Second-third round

A little slow, a little undersized, Manningham might regret his decision to leave Michigan early if doesn’t get drafted in the first two rounds.

5. QB Brian Brohm
Second round

Brohm was widely regarded as the best the best quarterback his age in the country from his junior year of high school to his junior year of college. Last season wasn’t great for Brohm of his Cardinals, but he’s still an accurate and productive passer.

4. WR Malcolm Kelly
Second round

Kelly is the best of the this year’s thin receiver class, but will likely fall out of the first round because of character issues. Remember, an immoral pass catcher is a productive pass catcher.

3. T-G Brenden Albert
First round

At worst: a Pro Bowl caliber guard.

2. RB Rashard Mendenhall
First round

The hometown kid is like the Anti-CedBen: While Benson carried the ball nearly 1,200 times in college, Shard didn’t even carry it 400 times.

1. T Ryan Clady
First round

It’s likely that Clady won’t fall past the Panthers at pick thirteen, but there’s some sediment that Angelo could trade up to get him.

An immoral pass-catcher is a productive pass-cather... Can we say top ten statements on a top ten post???

Matt,

Bret told me you had this site. I am very impressed. You guys do a great job.
I think you could add Kenny Phillips to the list, he may slip in the second round.
Love the site

Hey Sumit,

It's been way too long buddy, but thanks a lot for checking out the site....hopefully we'll hook up for another Vegas fiasco somewhere down the line.

Well, for starters, we need help on the O line. Jeff Oatah is the canidate that we need. And then pick up a QB in the second round. I am impartial to Andre AWoodson. I know what the scouts said, but were they right about Tom brady, or Steve Young? All Woodson did was set the NCAA record for the most attempts without being picked off. Also, his QB coach is Randy Saunders. And if you don't know who he is, ask Payton Manning. But there's so many holes on this team that Santa Jerry couldn't fill them. So Jerry, with all of these picks, don't screw this up. Also don't ask Cedric Benson for his advice. Hey Matt, good website.

Looks like u were 0for 10 there buddy. I think the Bears had a pretty good draft in all though. The players u mentioned are good and I would've liked to c a few in Chicago, but oh well.
